Based on a 600 BC design, the Phoenicia replicated a Phoenician merchant ship. An international crew, including representatives from the United States, Lebanon, Tunisia, the United Kingdom, Norway, Holland, Brazil, and Indonesia, sailed aboard the Phoenicia under British adventurer and expedition leader Philip Beale FRGS. Brazilian filmmaker Yuri Sanada was among the crew. In addition to documenting life on board, Yuri provided an overview of the Phoenicians' challenges.
